Egg-cellent Cards on a Rainy Day!

Thank you to the wonderful women who braved the New England Rain Storm today to stamp some fun all occasion and  "Egg-cellent" Cards with me!!  We stamped 2 each of 4 different cards, and here are 2 of my favorites:

 

STAMPS:  Loads of Love Accessories, Hostess Level 2 picnic set from Occasions Mini Catalog

INK:  Orchid Opulence, close to cocoa, Stampin' Write Markers:  Barely Banana, Orchid Opulence, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery

CARDSTOCK:  Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper

ACCESSORIES:  White organza ribbon, smal and large tag punches, rectangle punch, scallop edge border

THis card actually doesn't involve much stamping- other than the greeting- and I always let my friends choose the greeting they need:  Get well soon, Thinking of You, Birthday Wishes... this card really serves all occasions!

The white layer was made with the TOP NOTE BIGZ Sizzix Die exclusive to Stampin' Up!  and the 3 layer flower is from the Birds and Blooms Sizzlit 4 pack , which is fun to make with any color combo!  I finished it off with a center brad from the Rich Regals assortment.

So So Easy!

OK- you've waited all week since my previous post where I gave you a teaser that I'll be posting samples of cards for tonight's stamp a stack and this Sunday's All Occasion Card Class.  Here you are:

Tonight I've designed (and pre-cut supplies) for 10 different cards.  My stamping friends will have the (difficult) decision of choosing 5 of the 10 cards to make.  THey will make 4 each of the 5 cards for a total of 20 cards.  This is a lot of cards to make in one night, so you will see that some of the cards have very little stamping- but still are completely gorgeous!  I've used glitter, rhinestone brads, shimmery paper and other great accessories to complement the designs. 

Here are just 2 of the 10 for tonight:

"Celebrate" uses a top fold Very Vanilla Card, scallop edge punch and layer of gold specialty cardstock behind the front fold.  Stamp tree with gold encore ink and heat emboss with gold detail e/p... stunning!  Stamp Celebrate with only the encore ink- do not heat emboss... you don't want too much shiny to compete with the tree... we want the tree to be the focal point... PLUS you're adding shiny gold cord at the top, and that is just enough for this Beauty!

 

 

 

Ooops!  This card was supposed to be portrait layout- but it still looks great!  Baja Breeze cardstock with Ski Slope Designer Paper from the Holiday Mini catalog.  I used our largest (and newest) circle punch: 1 3/4" with whisper white cardstock, added a felt flurry snowflake (also from our Holiday Mini catalog) and a circle ice rhinestone brad.  Stamped the words Happy Holidays in Baja Breeze ink, or to really dress it up you could do that with Winter White Embossing Powder :)   FUN!!

 

Here are 2 cards that we'll be stamping on Sunday Night at my all occasion monthly card class:

Happy Thanksgiving uses a side folded Mellow Moss Card.  Whisper White Cardstock run through our Sizzix Big Shot with the TOp Note Die.  Stamped Baroque Motifs in Mellow Moss, and Chocolate Chip.  1/4" grosgrain ribbon is Mustard color to compliment the Circle flower stamped in More Mustard.  Stamp some Chocolate chip mini flowers and a Scallop Circle Punch from Chocolate Chip Cardstock and the card is done!! 

 

Mr. Twigster is a great set from the Holiday Mini Catalog- isn't he so lovable ?!

Cardstock colors used are Real Red and Green Galore- true bright Christmas Colors!  The greeting is from the CHIT CHAT Rub Ons... Read below for the great rub ons special!  I added a red felt flurry snowflake and gold brad, and the background is spritzed with Real Red and Green Galore Markers- Gosh, I haven't used that Spritzer Tool in so long- but I love it for this background!!

All Occasion Cards

Once a month I host an All Occasion Card Class- it's lots of fun and a great way to learn new stamping techniques while making 8 great cards you could send to just about anyone!

Here is one of the cards we made on Sunday Night.  It uses the Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp Set- it is regularly $23.95, but on sale for $19.16 this month (that's 20% off) with a $20 purchase.  Check out other 20% off Stamp Sets here, in celebration of Stampin' Up!'s 20th Anniversary this month!

Other supplies used: Cardstock colors:  Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.  Ribbon accent is Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain.  Scallop edge punch on the chocolate chip cardstock gives a nice scallop accent.  3 Faux Brads were made with our 1/4" circle punch, more chocolate chip cardstock, and CRYSTAL EFFECTS!  It's tough to see the shine in this picture, but "CE" gives a real nice gloss to any image.  We also added it to the cupcake frosting.

Happy Mother's Day

Easter has passed which means Mother's Day will be here before we know!  At tonight's Monthly Card Class we'll be stamping 4 beautiful cards including the card on the left for the Moms in our lives.  The Thank You card to the right is a swap card from a past Demonstrator Event and was my inspiration for the MOM card.  Supplies used for the MOM Card are: 

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs, Lovely Letters

Cardstock:  Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst

INK: Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst

Accessories: Celery grosgrain ribbon, 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter on the small flowers- everything is better with glitter!

Hurray for HodgePodge Hardware!

At my last card class I focused on using our HodgePodge Hardware.  This is an accessory that's been on my stamping shelves for almost 2 years - Why haven't I used it?  Because it's MINE and I don't want to give it up-  Isn't that silly?  Buying something and hoarding it?   Who ever heard of that?!!   Well, it's time to use it up-  What do you think?

This card is my favorite because we used Le Jardin Designer Paper for the bottom stripes, 5/8" wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, The swirly stamp in the top left corner is from Carte Postale and then the always versatile Sincere Salutations Stamp set for the greetings.  This was a super-easy masculine card!  It's tough to see but the Rectangle Buckle slid right over that wide ribbon- Perfect!

This card is FULL of PUNCH!   We used 3 punches: Key Tag (For you) and 2 circle punches:  1 1/4" and 1/2".  Stamp Set is called One of A Kind and has a coordinating flower punch with it (Boho Blossoms) but we didn't use it on this card- although I highly recommend it!  Colors on this card are: Wild Wasabit, Blue Bayou, River Rock and Very Vanilla.  Accessories are:  Double Stitched Wild Wasabi Ribbon, Circle Charm holder and 2 keyhole anchors from the HodgePodge Hardware (HPH) kit.  If this all sounds Greek to you- just ask me and I'm happy to help you make your own HPH cards!   

Are you wondering how we got the flower in the middle?   That's entire flower is one stamp, but when you use your circle punches you can punch out the pieces in the middle, then layer them with stampin' dimensionals- pretty cool, huh?   I just used the 1 1/4" circle to punch out the larger flower and then trimmed around it with a super sharp pair of paper snips.  The little green flower was stamped on a different sheet of very vanilla and then punched out with 1/2" circle.  Sounds confusing, but when you come to a class with me, I'll walk you through each step.
