I'm mailing this card to my sister today...I hope she is surprised by it! If it looks taller than one of my usual cards - IT IS! Last year Stampin' Up! offered "Long Open End Envelopes" and I had a few extra's on hand. I decided to make an extra long card (It measures approx. 9" x 3 1/2" wide) to thank my sister for all the EXTRA NICE Things she has done for me and the girls lately!!
The base card is tempting turquoise, with a small layer of Certainly Celery at the bottom. I used the easy, easy scallop edge punch to make the border. The Butterflies were die cut with my BIG SHOT machine and Regal Rose and ORchid Opulence cardstock. We added 2 gold brads to the centers, and some gold glitter on the wings... the 2 way glue pen is awesome for adding a dab here and there of glitter!!
The white background was VERY white, so we softened it up with some sponging of tempting turquoise ink, and of course the greeting came from a great stamp set: WONDERFUL FAVORITES... it is sooo wonderful because it has every family relationship you can think of... son, daughter, mother father, aunt, uncle... cousin... and even IN LAW and STEP!! (but no OUT-LAW's)!!!!
Now, when I say, "We" did this, and "We" stamped that... I mean, me and the girls at my last class... they all got to make this FUN card in February... now if you're ready to stamp with me... check out my upcoming classes below and contact me to save your spot.
Thanks! and I'll stamp with you soon!! Dawn
